Well Kept Cavern

I made the backing sounds this past summer, then Eric sang over it one night in December after making fruit baskets all day.

International Dust

posted by Gabel D'Amico on Dec. 3, 2009

Here's a little mix called 'International Dust.' Listen close for tidbits of unreleased Twin Sister ambiance between songs.

It also features tracks by two of our favorite people, Joe Meek (pictured above) and John K.

A Mix For October

posted by Gabel D'Amico on Oct. 23, 2009

They're not new Twin Sister songs, but come on, we're not the only band on earth.

The mix attached here is mostly nice and slow, and unless I'm forgetting someone, it only has one male voice on it. It just happened that way.

It's dedicated to the hair styles pioneered by the Cocteau Twins. It doesn't have much to do with October.

An Intimate Portrait

We're still working on our second EP. We want to get it done as soon as possible so that everyone can hear it. We're tracking vocals in about two weeks. Until we get everything in order, here are two "teasers" :

If you enjoy images of cats and Andrea but only have 38 seconds, enjoy this one:

Chewy in the Stars / "I Let You In"

posted by Gabel D'Amico on Aug. 13, 2009
The idea has been kicking around for a while, and will probably end up in the 2nd half of The Cool Forthcoming Album That Isn't Finished. "Please finish this song idea, other band members. I've lost my way," I said. My cat Chewy (Chewie? I guess I've never had to write it) was licking my toes the entire time I was tracking this demo. "Get outta here, fatso," I said.

Johnungle

This is me and John K. having fun on his 8 track about a month ago. He did the drum programming and the keyboards and I played the bass and did some computery stuff. We listened to it recently and decided it might be a good starting point for a Twin Sister song, so who knows what will become of it.

Luna's Theme Music

If Luna were a character on Twin Peaks, maybe this would be her theme music.

Sister Smoke

Another song that started on the Casio (not to be confused with Andrea's Yamaha, which is all over the EP and in many demos). This one will be in the Twin Sister live rotation as soon as our word-writers get around to it.

The title explains the key images evoked in the song.
